ethiopiques news
The Ethiopiques cds (there are soon to be 20 of them) are some of my favorite things in the universe. I am not the only one either, the music is turning up everywhere now, Jim Jarmusch's new movie uses much of it for the soundtrack - but most excitingly is this news: the Either/orchestrsa will be celebrating the release of their collaboration with the great Mulatu Astatke down the street from my house in a few weeks.
