VERY VERY VERY BIG NEWS
On tuesday I got a call from the program director from one of the Big NPR stations. He told me that he would like to start airing TOE starting MArch 5th. It was one of those calls that one does not expect. In fact when I picked up the phone (the land line) and he asked for Benjamen Walker - I answered.. well, he's not in right now - may I take a message.. and then when he said who he was I had to pull that - uh.. can you hold on a second!!! What a great first impression I made.. Anyways, I am terrified to post this because 1. I don't want to jinx it and 2. I am suffering from the bird flu right now.. drifting in and out of consciousness - perhaps this is all in my head? So I am not going to name names, but lets just say that starting March 5th I will be on all THREE coasts. And one more hint: this station is the best of the big stations in the network, its innovative, visionary and wholly dedicated to airing great radio (I am sure this partnership will last at best 3 weeks).
