Broadcast 14 "books"

This week on the radio program, books. Karen Schmeer shares with us the best story about how books can say things about us and the world we live in. Since 2001 Chelsea Merz, has been recording interviews with people and their bookshelves for public radio, I ask her for advice on how to do one of these 'bookcase' interviews with my friend Lindsay Waters, an author and publisher. Also in the program Zoe Trodd shares with us images of 19th century woman and books and the author, publisher and book-blogger Dennis Loy Johnson shares with us his optimism about the current state of books and culture.
