BROADCAST SPECIAL "the creative remix"

In lieu of a new TOE this week I am posting a one hour documentary that I produced for Creative Commons. Over the past few years I have done the sound design and music for their two flash videos, and so they trusted me to produce this documentary. I have also been caught up in the whole copyleft thing through the Berkman Center at the Harvard Law School - where I have been doing various things over the past few years. It's been a lot of lawyers, and so I really really wanted to see if I could make a piece that was "lawyer free".

This weekend the program aired in San francisco, in December it will be airing on Connecticut's WNPR and hopefully more stations as well. Here is the info page for the show and here are the sound files: Track one and Track two

In the second segment I speak with these three remix artists, Gideon D'arcangelo the walkman buster, Matthew Pearl the historical novelist, and Cory Arangel the nintendo hacker.

Also, in the program is a field trip to the "Yankee Remix" exhibit at MassMoca. I took 2 trips and 2 sets of friends. Zoe and Catherine, the grad students and John and Fred the antique collectors. Everyone had fun.
